Mac: /Users/yourusername/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common The Preferences window lists the file path to these directories, but you might find them a bit challenging to navigate to yourself as they are typically stored within hidden folders. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves…įirst, we see a reference to the Media Cache in Premiere’s Preferences under the Media tab. And so sometimes, it’s beneficial to purge the thing and start over. The potential trouble here is, that after some time or a big project, the Media Cache can eat up hard drive space - sometimes a lot of it. ![]() ![]() Normally in kingdom rush I can do it first try or second if I’m unlucky. I say to you, that when I say this game is a bit harder I mean that it took 2-4 tries to beat a level on impossible. Just like kingdom rush this game has a great sense of challenge and strategy, all though I do find this game a bit harder. To address those people who say this game is impossible without spending money. What I mean by this is even without spending a single penny on this game you are still offered a ton of hero’s and units to make a working strategy. That being said, I rate this game five stars due to its vast amount of variety. ![]() I also know a game is fun if the challenge is big. I happened upon this while replaying the original Kingdom Rush, and I look forward to the continuation of that series as well. All the things we come to expect from iron hide studios. The gameplay is fine even in a repetitive fashion, the graphics are incredible, there are Easter eggs everywhere and the sound is fantastic. I myself don't mind paying for the higher-level heroes, one because good game makers are in such rare supply on the App Store these days, and two I remember all too clearly what it was like to pay $80 for a 16 bit game on the Super Nintendo. Yes it is easier if you are able to purchase the higher level heroes, but it's more than possible to grind out boards in order to get all of the resources you need without having to pay for anything. If you enjoy that sort of thing that this game is for you, if you want something that is not occasionally challenging and doesn't require you to adjust your strategy in order to win, then look elsewhere. This is absolutely necessary in a game like this. Folks who are having trouble with the difficulty are probably not used to having to grind out levels or adjust strategy in wave driven games. For five dollars you get a graphically rich incredible take on real-time strategy and tower defense rolled into one. I have been a gamer since the early days of Atari, this is a fantastic game from iron hide studios. Remember the more support they get the more and the better games they will be able to put out! I'm just a bit bored of paying a thousand pounds upwards for a beautifully built laptop that is somewhat still broken inside. It's interesting you're using the surface. I'm still in the shallows of what I can and can't do on it and, as I say, I've not taken the full plunge just yet. That's good to know that you find it easier on windows. I think this is because apple actually pioneered the means of blind people using a solid piece of glass which I still find amazing despite using it every day. ![]() Yes, I completely agree, there is nothing better than IOS for accessibility. In mine, windows works better for me than Mac, I only wish I'd discovered this sooner. I'm not looking to start a whole Mac windows war thing, I'm just asking for your views. Windows users, how do you find it? Those of you with experience on both platforms, how do they stack up in terms of accessibility against one another and I'm not just talking screenreader, but ease of use of each system? There is just one piece of software I can't yet get for windows which is the latest scrivener, but as soon as that comes along, I think I'm jumping ship to a far more responsive and more pleasurable setup that doesn't give me the 'busy' feedback on java websites, doesn't need us to drill up and down through levels and is basically better, in my view.īut this is personal opinion. Of course it's more than the accessibility that makes a system work and so far, I like windows, I can get tasks done quicker using the search in Cortana which is a key press away. The trouble is now, for me at least, is I've not made the distinction between voiceover on Mac (a useable but clunky solution) and that of VoiceOver on iOS (absolute genius and the gold standard of portable accessibility).Īnyway, these were my thoughts. It was always going to be at a disadvantage. We have to recall that screenreader existed on windows a long time before VoiceOver ever came to Mac. Returning to Mac OS, I realised just how convoluted, bloated and flawed VoiceOver is as a screen reader and I thought about why this might be. It was so easy to use that I felt I was missing a trick. ![]() It's simply move through items with the cursor keys or tab and that's it. After watching the firefight I thought I'd take a little delve and bought myself an xbox. So, a hotly contested subject on AppleVis is accessibility of mainstream games, whether they can be made accessible and even if they should be made accessible. I thought I'd take this opportunity to tell you a little of my experiences after dipping my tentative toe back into the windows world and what I discovered. The fretboard diagram provides a nice visual depiction of the fingering pattern, which can make the scale easier to remember (e.g., you can think “2-4, then 1-2-4, 1-3-4,” etc. Now, if you know how to read standard music notation, this same scale would be represented as follows:īoth types of notation have their uses. It’s also common to highlight the root note of the scale in some way in this case, the “A” notes are red because A is the root of the A major scale. Or sometimes, as in this diagram, the note markers are labeled with the actual notes. The note markers can just be plain dots or they can be labeled with numbers to show which finger should play each note. To take just one example, here’s an A major scale which is played in 4th position (i.e., your 1st finger is on the 4th fret): One of the main uses for fretboard diagrams is to show scales. So it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise to learn that the same chord shapes work on both diagrams-they’re just turned on their side. The fretboard diagram is basically a chord box turned on its side with lots of other frets added to it. It’s the same view you’d have if you held the guitar in normal playing position (with the neck pointing to the left), slid it down onto your lap, and looked down at it. The fretboard is represented with the thin E string (1st string) at the top and the thick E string (6th string) at the bottom. As shown below, a fretboard diagram is a representation of the whole guitar neck-or, more often, a large section of it. But if you need to see more of the neck at one time, like for scales or to show multiple chord shapes on the neck at the same time, you need to use a fretboard diagram. If you haven’t already read it, you should check out Part 1: Chord Boxes.Ĭhord boxes are small and only show a few frets because your left hand can only reach so many notes without moving. Something's changed in the lighting, too, which makes this year's game appear flatter and duller than the last, while the tyre spray from wet races has a distracting flicker. They also reset to the track straight after crashing, so if you have the new bike recovery mechanic enabled, you'll spend 10 seconds running your rider over to his bike and picking it back up while any other fallers are already three turns up the road. That trouble takes its most noticeable form in the AI riders, who employ some very odd tactics including but not limited to: constantly wiggling very slightly from side to side on straights, crashing 90% of the time in a particular turn at Assen, and never, ever taking a long lap penalty. There's a lot of time to be made up on the AI with effective braking technique, so fortune favours those with a deft touch on the LT and A buttons (with the assists off, you control front and rear brakes independently).īut there's trouble in this paradise of two-wheeled poise and balletic gliding from apex to apex. As you progress to faster hardware, the corners are gone by the time you enter them, although MotoGP class braking zone battles are something to behold now. It's particularly enjoyable in Moto3, where the slower bikes lavish in a well-set line and your poor overstimulated brain gets a second to register that "hey, I've nailed this corner". The last few games have been working up to a handling model which demands you pick a line and either stick with it or upset your bike, and this year Milestone, quite assertively, achieves it. For anyone who cared about realism in the pre-Unreal Engine MotoGPs, the ability to constantly tweak your speed and trajectory with taps of the brake or throttle were an immersion killer. ![]() The frustration is real, then, but the rewards are plentiful. However good you were at MotoGP 20, you're going to have to completely revise your braking technique here. On MotoGP bikes especially, which eat up ground like Mukbang streamers at a Yo Sushi, you need to set the angle and speed of your bike quite a few seconds before the corner looms large or you'll never get it leaned over and slowed down in time. And when those two new facets of the handling are combined, MotoGP 21 asks you to think one turn ahead, in a very real sense. The feeling and timing of shifting your rider's weight from one side of the bike to the other is slower, more precarious, and ultimately more believable now, too. |
